This past year has been such a roller coaster rider for my husband and I. We have experienced intense joy and happiness coupled with great sorrow and sadness. We feel so blessed to have had such an amazing first year of marriage that is full of wonderful memories! We look forward to the many more years of continuing to make memories together.
For those of you who know my story, it is no wonder that I have decided to walk in the March of Dimes this April. Children hold such a sweet spot in my heart, particularly healthy pregnancies and babies.
The mission of the March of DImes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. The money raised supports programs in local communities that help mothers have health full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the problems that threaten babies. This year the March of Dimes celebrates 75 years of research, vaccines and breakthroughs that benefit every baby.
I am marching for all of the unborn children – ectopic pregnancies, stillborn, miscarried, aborted. For the babies who are born too soon, too small and often very sick. I am marching to raise funds to better educate and equip women to better care for their child(ren) while raising awareness of infant mortality rates.
